San Joaquin County Chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation Elects New Officers


SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA- November 2, 2011, Stockton, CA. The San Joaquin County Chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation announced an election of Health Plan of San Joaquin’s Vice-President of Marketing David Hurst as Chairman of its eight member board. Hurst has served on the Board for over 7 years. Steve Dougherty of Dougherty CPAs, Inc. was elected as Vice Chair and Kristin Anzaido-Bohi, of Anzaildo OP, LLC as Secretary.

“I am proud to lead our dedicated group of talented individuals as we maintain the tradition of leadership, expertise and outreach for our Chapter”, said Hurst. “Together we provide a strong core, with many ties in the community, and look forward to implementing plans to expand not only our Board but our medical outreach, fundraising activities and public awareness in order to grant more wishes to eligible children.”

In 2011, the San Joaquin Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted 198 wishes to children throughout San Joaquin County. It has plans to increase the number to 230 in 2012.
The mission of Make-A-Wish Foundation is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich their lives and provide hope, strength and joy. It is the largest wish-granting charity in the world, with 65 chapters in the United States and its territories.
