I Have a Voice: Memoirs of Our Community

STOCKTON, CA – Friday, September 14 2012 the Mexican Heritage Center in collaboration with the Bilingual Weekly will host a reception for the exhibition called, I Have a Voice: Memoirs of Our Community.

The event will celebrate the 50 people who have participated with the campaign. The campaign is set to be 65 weeks of interviewing one person per week who has contributed something positive to the community. Each week the chosen interview is photographed, and placed on the cover of the newspaper. Most participants were also video interviewed.

The Public will have the opportunity to nominate someone they believe to be a perfect candidate for the last 10 editions. Additionally, the event is planned to have entertainment, no-host bar, awards for the participants. It is free and open to the public – RSVP HERE.
