Stockton, CA — On Friday, July 6, 2012 nearly 200 community members gathered at Stockton Golf and Country Club to celebrate San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SJCHCC) 40th Annual Awards Luncheon.
“Celebrating 40 years in business is a great milestone for our chamber, and we look forward to serving our community for the next 40 years,” said Mark Martinez, SJCHCC’s Executive Director.
The Chamber of Commerce welcomed the following members to the board, President – Elect, James Jimenez, Bank of the West; Sylvester Aguila, President, Community Bank of San Joaquin; Eddie Lira, Secretary, Bank of Agriculture and Commerce; Lisa Blanco Jimenez, Treasurer, Law of Neumiller; Past – President, Jonice Oliva, Owner of Deck the Walls; Gary Ghan, Brookfalls Water Company Inc.; Bob Gutierrez, Food 4 Less/Rancho San Miguel; Jim Molina, State Farm Insurance; Zenet Negron, Socially Now; Henry Peralta, Stockton Auto Glass, Mark Plovnick, University of Pacific; Armando Salgado, Sims Metal Management; and, Gary Webb, Wells Fargo Bank.
This year the chamber recognized the following: Business of the year, G Force Productions; Corporate Member of the Year, Heald Business College; Volunteer of the Year, Leticia Torres, Bilingual Insurance Agent, AAA Insurance Company; Business Advocate of the Year, Mike Self, Executive Director, The Builder’s Exchange; Community Based Organization, The Haggin Museum; and, Tino Adame, Commander, American Legion, District II was honored with the John Aguilar Spirit Award.
“I am thrilled to be recognized for the work we do,” Gary Hansen, owner of G Force Productions appreciated the recognition of the Chamber. “This recognition is a nice validation of what we do,” he added.
