Stockton, CA – Jose Hernandez, candidate for CD 10, has announced his endorsement of Stockton City Councilmember Susan Talamantes Eggman in her bid for Assembly.
“I’m supporting Susan because of her hard work and dedication for the residents of Stockton as a member of the City Council,” said Hernandez. “I know she will continue to work for a better community and will continue her fight for San Joaquin County in the State Assembly.”
“I’m proud to have Jose’s endorsement,” said Eggman. “He is a true leader and inspiration to many in our community.”
So far, District 13 will have two Latinas vying for the seat. Eggman will be running against Xochitl Paderes who recently announced her bid for assembly on December 17th, 2011.

Wow. I remember when he took flack for having the courage to speak out against racist Arizona SB 1070 law, while eggman refused to even entertain a resolution against it as a city council member when sge was approached to do so by the community. Her excuse was not wanting to upset her republican collegues. She also did nothing to help us with the DREAM Act or the Chicano Studies afterschool program at Edison highschool.I would have expected better judgement from him.
This will be an interesting endorsement to watch.
It will be interesting to see the results of his endorsment, of Susan Eggman over the next few months..!!!
