Special Election for Presidency of Comerciantes Unidos

Capture(bw) Stockton, CA –

Two candidates are vying for the Comerciantes Unidos (Stockton Based Merchant Group) Presidency.

The first nominated during the May general meeting was Mario Eguiluz, Architect by Profession and employed at F&M Bank, he was elected to serve on the board during the 2010 election, “I would like to clarify that my goal is to serve this organization with an end result on advancing our programs and without personal gains,” explained Eguiluz in a brief statement to the general membership.
In a matter of seconds, Hugo Parra, Real Estate Agent was a second nomination, “I agree with with Mr. Eguiluz,” said Parra accepting his nomination.
The membership will vote in an extraordinary election; a result of a presidential recall of Jesus Villavazo which took place on an extraordinary meeting on April 21, 2011.  The Interim President, Juan Ruvalcaba Cancun Restaurant Owner, with the board’s support open the nominations for the election which is expected to take place during the general membership meeting of June 2, 2011.
