2010/2011 Second Installment Secured Property Tax Due

 San Joaquin County, CA – Although the Administration Building sustained some water damage due to a recent sprinkler incident, the Treasurer and Tax Collector’s office will keep business hours as usual.

 Shabbir A. Khan, San Joaquin County Treasurer & Tax Collector, made an announcement today to remind property owners that the second installment of 2010-2011 property taxes is due and payable on February 1, 2011 and becomes delinquent after 5:00 PM on April 11, 2011. Deliquency, results in a 10% fee of the bill added to the cost. The second installment due date is changed this year because the original date of April 10, 2011 falls on a Sunday.

 Mr. Khan stated that “The payments sent by mail with a postmark of April 11, 2011, or earlier, will be accepted as timely.” 

Property tax information may now be viewed or paid online or by phone.  Additionally, there is a fee associated with paying online or by phone.  For online information, go to the website: and click on View or Pay Taxes. To pay by phone, dial 1-866-575-5333. 

The Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office is located at 44 N. San Joaquin Street, First Floor, Suite 150, at the corner of San Joaquin Street and Weber Avenue in Downtown Stockton. The Tax Collector’s Office hours are 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and the hours will be extended to 5:00 pm on Friday, April 8, 2010 and Monday, April 11, 2011.
