Mexican Heritage Center's Tribute to Tequila Event Friday Feb. 25th, 2011

STOCKTON, CA- There is more to Tequila than a Margarita. Are you surprised? The Mexican Heritage and Gallery (MHC) is offering an opportunity to learn more at “Una Pura Dos Con Sal: The Spirit of Tequila,” an evening cultural presentation on Friday, February 25 at their Acacia Street location.

The  MHC is inviting anyone over 21 to come and learn about the appreciation and traditions of tequila.  The Event will begin with a social at 5:30 and a presentation focused on the history, technique, and process of Tequila at 6:00. The evening will be followed with tequila tasting by Tequila Jorongo; the first Mexican-owned business to sponsor the Stockton Arena.

“The Spirit of Tequila” is open to the public age 21 and up. Tickets are 10.00 for Mexican Heritage Center Members and 15.00 for non-members.   They will be available at the door on a first come basis.

  1. I really like their tequila. I was an avid Patron and Don Julio consumer, but when I tried their Blanco, I think they call it Silver and Anejo over at Casa Flores in Stockton, I was hooked. Very smooth to the taste and I was very surprised it did not have an afterburn like others do. Well I needed to have more and when I was told by the owner of the restaurant I could buy one around the corner at Temperance Liquor, I was just amazed how affordable. That went down smoother. I wish more stores would have them. Does anyone know of other places I could buy this? By the way, Bi-Weekly newspaper is cool to read. Hope they can expand to Elk Grove someday. Nick
