Lodi’s leaf pickup begins Monday

Lodi, CA / Bilingual Weekly

The City of Lodi is asking residents not to rake leaves into the street until the City’s annual leaf removal program begins Monday, November 29, 2010.Residents are reminded that street sweeping begins at 4 a.m., with the leaf collection crews following at 6:30 a.m. The City will not collect leaf piles placed in the street after collection crews pass until the next regularly scheduled pickup. City officials remind residents,

  • Rake leaves beyond the toe of the gutter so any rain can flow into the storm drain unobstructed.
  • Leaf piles containing pruning, lawn clippings or flowers will NOT be picked up.
  • Do not place leaves in plastic bags. The bags will not be picked up.
  • Please do not park cars on the street. They interfere with pickup.

The city is divided into 10 districts for pick-up purposes, with leaves collected from each neighborhood approximately every two weeks through January. Pick-up begins this year in District 2.
