City of Manteca Employees receive health screening

Manteca, CA City of Manteca employees got one to their health this past Thursday, November 4, 2010, at the Manteca Senior Center. The fair, opened to the nearly 350 City employees and their families, provided health and safety related information from 38 vendors, as well as seasonal flu shots, and tests for glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure.
St. Joseph’s Occupational Health —one of the providers, touts a variety of programs to keep employees healthy and supervisors up-to-date on state and federal regulations. “Our program has a wide range of services designed to help businesses and employers hire a healthy workforce,” said Patty Milano, LVN, Employer Services Representative for St Joseph’s, “reduce the risk of injuries and promote overall health in the workplace.”
This is the 14th year the City of Manteca do this service to their employees, explained City Manager Joe Kriskovich, “and if you visit all vendors… you get to eat”
