Stribley to inaugurate reading room


Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library and Recreation Services Division of the Community Services Department invite the community to an Open House on Saturday, September 25 at 10:30 a.m. in celebration of the newly established Fair Oaks Reading Room at the Stribley Community Center.Everyone is welcome to the opening of the newly developed space —located at 1760 E. Sonora Street in Stockton— that will offer the community a place to read, access free wi-fi, and enjoy scheduled literacy-based children’s programming.

New furniture including tables with installed power plugs for laptop access, shelving with many of the books that come from the former location of the Fair Oaks branch.

The Open House will include the presence of several authorities. There also will be face painting, light refreshments, storytimes, and the ability to tour the Reading Room as well as the community center as a whole.
