This year three Stocktonian Latino businesspersons became the recipients of statewide recognition.
Jonise Oliva, Board President of the San Joaquin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SJCHCC) and owner of Deck the Walls was acknowledged as Business Woman of the Year at the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce (CHCC) 31st Annual Convention in Los Angeles on mid August. Also recognized were Jesus Vargas, partner of VSCE received the Business Man of the Year and Luis Sanchez, CEO of NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center received the Lifetime Award for all his service to the CHCC.
“We are delighted to have had three of our members recognized for all the work that they do,” stated Martinez, CEO of the SJCHCC. “I am very proud to work with all of these individuals and very pleased that the state chamber would honor them with these prestigious awards.”
The CHCC is the largest regional ethnic business organization in the nation, has a network of over 65 Hispanic chambers and business associations throughout the State of California. Through this network the CHCC represents the interest of over 720,000 Hispanic businesses in California.
