Colombia turns 200 in Stockton

Thousands of Colombians from Northern California gathered in Stockton to celebrate their country’s independence bi-centennial.

Area Colombians were celebrating Sunday, on advance of their bi-centennial, July 20th, date on which the Spanish Nueva Granada colony started the struggle that ended with Venezuela and Colombia becoming free nations.
